Coffee Talk Review (hooollllyyyyy)
I really wish there was something inbetween a yes or a no for recommending games. This wasn't a bad game by any means, but I felt severely underwhelmed by it. I really thought I was going to love it. The characters were okay, and I enjoyed reading their conversations up to a point, but overall I just found the story a little dull. There wasn't really much to it at all. The coffee making aspect of it is very simple, essentially point and click mechanics (which is fine, I went in expecting a visual novel rather than gameplay). This game just didn't resonate at all with me in the same way it has with others. I tried to replay it after finishing the main story because there are different endings depending on the drinks you make but I found that I could only fast forward through dialogue up to a certain point, and then I had to sit and painstakingly click through the rest of the dialogue I had already read.
This game is SO well loved that I'm sure I'm just missing something. But unfortunately it just wasn't for me.
