One simple concept in a game... if you use checkpoints and you have some sort of boss fight, even a small one, put a checkpoint just before. Not miles away that oblige to re jump a series of platform, to "rediscover" a secret, to re manage your inventory to re throw some swords against ice blocks to re break them, to finally re recover the weapon you re dropped from your inventory to re break that ice and to reapply points in your skill tree for the level you just re earned...
This kind of UX does only help to answer the question: Who does that???
Consider what follow that question to rarely be a compliment...
That deserve a thumb down and make think to a potential refund.
That is sad considering the game is coming with nice visuals, a lot of weapons and combos for each including special strikes, plethora of nicely designed monsters, for some staged, bloody finishes, cool secrets...
Playability with a controller is also tiedous. Having to block using the right stick while the same fingers are used to strike... That makes the combination of blocks/strikes barely possible for non professional pianists...
The block hud spoil the visuals. Try bigger next time to cover more of the screen...
Some clippings and other small bugs are present.
Music is ok. Sounds also.
I am not sure I am going to continue to play it for long since I am not masochist. I may ask for a refund as well.
So, I am not going to recommend it.
