Eden Genesis Review (jimboss1258)
I haven't beat the game yet, however I have been loving it.
I don't normally play these type of platformer time-based games, but I surprisingly have really enjoyed it.
It has that same lovely Aeterna soundtrack, smooth controls and satisfying attacks.
I am unsure of where the plot is going but I honestly didn't expect much so it's already blown me away.
I love how the map is built alot like Aeterna Noctis(that is, like a Metrovania, built mostly horizontally but relatively vertical)
Anyways, love the studio, love the game.
UI: Fantastic, love the map design and just about everything.
Sound/Soundtrack: Great
Movement: Difficult(for me) but very smooth and satisfying.
Voice Acting: Good-ish, a little rough on the edges.
Plot: Still working through it, don't expect anything crazy, it's a platformer/ time trial game. Side quest stuff too.
Difficulty: Not terrible unless you run the Challenge levels as the side quest, which is insane, or maybe I'm really bad.
Very cool
Edit: Got some lore drops, my opinion of the story has increased, but it's still not anything super crazy. Pretty sure it's two popular movie plot lines intertwined.
There's an area of the game with similar visuals and I think even borrowed sound from Aerterna Noctis(The studios first game), but that's ok because I love that game too much.
