FIFA 22 Review (Aron)
FIFA 25, the latest in the FIFA series, has its highs and lows. As a soccer nut, I was pumped to dive into this game, but it's a bit of a mixed bag.
Graphics and Looks:
Graphically, FIFA 25 is a stunner. The players, stadiums, and animations are all top-notch. The attention to detail, like how the grass moves or the players' expressions, is seriously impressive. But, there are times when the game stutters a bit or glitches out, which is a bummer.
Gameplay:
Playing FIFA 25 is mostly smooth sailing. The controls are responsive, and the new skill moves and smarter AI make it more challenging and realistic. However, there are still some annoying moments, like dodgy ref calls or players acting weird, which can be frustrating.
Modes and More:
FIFA 25 offers a bunch of game modes to keep you hooked. Career Mode lets you manage or play as a player, while Ultimate Team lets you build your dream squad. Volta Football, the street soccer mode, is a fun twist. But, some modes feel a bit stale and could use a revamp.
Online Play:
Online play is a bit hit or miss. Matches are usually smooth and competitive, but there are times when matchmaking or servers act up. Cross-platform play is cool, but the heavy focus on microtransactions in Ultimate Team can make it feel pay-to-win.
Soundtrack and Commentary:
FIFA 25's soundtrack is fire, with a mix of genres from all over. The commentary adds to the vibe, but it can get repetitive after a while. More variety would be nice.
Verdict:
Overall, FIFA 25 is a solid game for soccer fans. It's got great graphics, fun gameplay, and plenty of modes to keep you busy. But, it's not without its flaws, like online issues and repetitive commentary. Still, if you're looking for a fun soccer game, FIFA 25 scores a goal.
