Green Hell Review (Lipe)
ANALYSIS ON GREEN HELL
Set in the beautiful Amazon, we have a recreation with realistic graphics, pulling as much as we can on our hardware, not overloading ourselves with unnecessary items such as excess foliage, something common in this type of game. A realistic experience in terms of graphics is perfectly achievable here, as you only need a modest computer.
Arriving at the game, we are faced with several hypotheses, being able to choose between completing the story in a normal way, a kind of "Survival Mode" in order to test our limits and patience, or, we can still opt for numerous challenges accompanied by various constraints.
The story mode is quite generic, centered on a couple (Jake and Mia Higgins) who decided to return to the Amazon in search of answers to the investigation they are organizing. To do this, they have to get in touch with a tribe.
Right from the start we are presented with a brief tutorial, where we are told the basics: how to create a bonfire, raise funds, among others. Between these moments it is possible to be in constant contact with our wife thanks to our walkie-talkie.
After certain events, the real survival experience begins, so it's perfectly normal that, after a few moments of starting to play, you notice that the game is perhaps too extreme or too lenient in the way it approaches this topic, but that's no problem. Creepy Jar has found a way for us to change certain settings without harming the experience, so that everyone can play at their own pace and not feel like they're putting in too much effort without any return.
From here, we will have to make the best use of the three best resources for our survival: water, food and sleep. Food is sub-divided so that we have to maintain a diversified diet so that our health is not affected by the lack of certain nutrients. Note that this task is not easy, and will consume time and patience, but don't forget that you have embarked on a survival game, I believe that without patience this is impossible.
Even in the consumption of food that has the right nutrients, you will have to check for parasites or if it contains any element that poisons us. If you really want to venture out and eat everything, don't be surprised if, after 1 hour in the game, you find yourself lying down and dying, because that's life. Any feeding error is fatal.
In order to control these resources, we will have a smartwatch that allows us to view our status in real time. In addition to being able to see these three features, it tells us the time and our coordinates so we don't get lost.
We can also maintain impeccable health and be bitten by an insect that has remembered to sentence us to death. If they see that they are affected by a substance, Green Hell allows us to inspect our members, so that we can verify which one is being harmed. In addition to those that cause us a painful death, we also have leeches, which, although not constantly irritating, when we approach the
water start to stick to us, having to be removed individually, which after a while can become an exhausting task.
For those who played The Forest, you will be more than comfortable with the construction in Green Hell, as it is mostly inspired by the mechanics of the previous one. Through a notebook, we will have access to what is possible to build, and what resources are needed to build the same structure.
It's possible that they start to lose sanity if the game doesn't run smoothly. This one is recoverable, as long as they don't remember to play Indiana Jones. At the peak of the loss of sanity, we find hallucinations and voices in our head, so they will lose perception of what is real and what is a product of the brain, it is mandatory that they adopt a premeditated posture.
Green Hell is an excellent survival game, I had a lot of fun playing it with my friends in both online and offline mode. You live an excellent experience in the wild, trying to survive and collect resources and shelter. There are many dangers in the jungle, you have to be cunning to survive. Anyway, it's an excellent game, I recommend everyone to play it, for those who like this type of game genre...
