LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Review (Ladanyix)

LEGO Batman 2 is an excelent sequel to the first game with many new features. Should you buy it? Yes, and I will explain my reasons.
Story is way better and more epic than in the first game. Here you don't just play with Batman and Robin, but with the Justice League and it's villains. The main antagonist here is Lex Luthor with Joker and the new heroes are Superman, Flash, Cyborg, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern (all but Superman appear at the end of the game tho, but you can use them in free play). It's true that some missions can get really boring and long, like "Chemical Crysis", but some of them are just epic and amusing to play (specially final boss).
Gameplay it's really a mix tho. New characters and new Batman/Robin suits make it well, and you can choose any character you own in free play. Also, this game has an open world mode where you can collect every LEGO golden brick, character, red brick, or save citizens, and drive/fly around. Oh, and it has one of the best improvements for LEGO games: checkpoints in the missions. The main issue comes to flying. I guess LEGO had to experiment with it in a game, but flying around with Superman in Gotham is kind of annoying. Plus, I found some minor bugs that didn't ruined me, but I had to close the game and start again. For example, I was in "Unwelcome Guests" and almost finishing the level Superman got stuck and I wasn't able to progress, or in "Research and Development" after the first lift the screen started to glitch. It didn't ruined my game tho, but rather disturbed me. And the open world isn't horrible as it's the first one in LEGO games, but it can get really repetitive to search every golden brick: climb this building, ride this, race with any vehicle or save a citizen to get one. In every corner of Gotham.
Graphics have improved way more, being more clean and shiny, like true Lego pieces, and this is the first LEGO game with voice acting, which is really well done.
Music? Same as the Burton's movies, so it's heaven to my ears.
I think the price is fair enough, since game was released in 2012 and it's more complete than the first game, yet shorter. If you want it, you can buy it at full price, but I recommend you to get it on sales, no matter if just this or the trilogy.
In conclusion, LEGO Batman 2 might not be the perfect LEGO game, but it shows the care that Traveler's Tales and Lego put to their games and how they want to improve without disappointing the community.
