Lok Digital Review (grazsdf)
I'm at world 8, and so far I'm having a really nice time with it. The mechanics are pretty original, clever and engaging. Each time a new one is introduced it can feel like a game changer for a bit, and it adds to the potential complexity of the puzzles, but it doesn't feel like it ever gets overwhelming. Still fairly challenging though, I've had to come back to some puzzles a second time and that's a good thing.
The atmosphere is pretty minimal but nice, and the black and white works, especially since it's the digital version of a game book.
Only two things I've found could use some improvement: 1 - when I played the demo and bought the full game, my save file from the demo didn't automatically carry over to the game, BUT this is something that I've seen in a thread on the community thingy that the developer has already addressed and is fixing or has fixed, and in the meantime it's sufficient to go to the save folder, copy the demo save file, paste it and rename it like the full game file of the same slot, replacing the latter.
2 - It would be nice to be able to access the settings while playing a level or being on the map, so I could change the volume or switch between light and dark mode without having to go to the home screen. It's not really much of an inconvenience, but it would just be more user experience-friendly.
Definitely worth it overall, if you're into puzzles of course.
Edit: I got further into the game, and my opinion on the mechanics has leveled up from "pretty clever" to "kinda genius".
