Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders Review (Matrene)
Snow Riders is a ton of fun. Filled with the same great game play of its predecessor. If you enjoyed the Lonely Mountains Downhill you will certainly enjoy this. Great graphics, audio and game play. The game play it self is well polished. Below are the negatives which hopefully the developers can fix. Even if they don't the game is still fun. I highly recommend this game even if it feels scaled down from the first.
I do wish there were more challenges per run. Downhill had around 9 or 10 challenges per run and you couldn't complete them going down the hill once. Snow Riders fills like a one and done. A few of the runs I went down once and completed everything. So sad because the game is great. As I noted in my review of the Demo the interface was really buggy and it still is. Cosmetic items are tough to select. Just seems broken. Graphic settings are very quirky and I could never get the fps setting to work. I could also never get multiplayer to work. I tried several quick matches that would put me in eternal loading and waiting for players to load screen. I am not sure if multiplayer will still be a thing in 6 months from now. The heart of the game is the solitude of these beautiful mountains.
