Lost Words: Beyond the Page Review (Elvick)

Initially played this on PS4, via PS+ Catalog and fell in love with it and immediately came and bought it here. My playtime isn't completed yet, but I wanted to write my review after finishing up the third chapter again. It's one of my favorite games I played last year (2023) and remains a beautifully done experience.
The gameplay is a solid foundation of basic puzzles and platforming to lend to it's incredible narrative. And it's been even more emotional the second time going through because I know what's going to happen so even the initial setup is getting me back into my feelings over the whole experience.
The music is amazing, I highly recommend getting the OST bundle if you get the game. The voice actors are all very good, the art design is great between the journal aesthetic and the fantasy world itself. It's just such a beautiful game and I cannot recommend it enough. I don't know what else to really say that hasn't already been said.
The only criticisms I have remain the jittery movement of the firefly that's with you when it's not being actively moved by you and certain dialog placement is a bit off. Either a dialog will start before it's on screen, or it will be too long so you'll exit the screen before it's over. They don't conflict audibly with other dialogs so you won't cut it off, but it feels a little like a barrier to progression given the focus on the story. A minor qualm in what is otherwise a perfect experience for me.
