Minecraft: Legends Review (Zeroone)

It appears as if reviews for this game are mixed... Mixed as in split between people who came to it for the RTS side, and people who only came for the Minecraft side.
This game is very much, an RTS game. it's convoluted nature is commonplace with alot of RTS out there, and due to the attempt at being toned down, It most likely won't be as bad as other RTS games. I'd say the co-developer 'Blackbird Interactive' are trustworthy, as they seem to have developed games such as Homeworld 3 and Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak.
The main complaint is the lack of content, I saw someone saying that the campaign lasted for 2 hours, which is abnormal since it took me an hour and a half to even complete the tutorial? but the game does change from a storied linear pattern to a open world RTS where you defend against a 'Dynamic' enemy. so they might of thought that the game ended once the tutorial finished.
In terms of outside the length of the campaign, it's a live service game. I'm gonna expect more stuff to come in the future. hopefully in the form of free updates, with income generated from the marketplace instead of DLC. but for now, it is slightly limiting on unit choices, with only 8 standard units, excluding 'Super' units. but as with all RTS games. units are for purpose, rather than just to exist. so there might be no need for other units, as most RTS game's basic spam units are basically the same amount, going for upgrades or stronger units later to add diversity. It's not something you should care about if you're going into this for an RTS game.
I however have one issue with the game, that has the possibility of not being fixed, and that's the AI in this game. the AI is workable. but 'Stupid' you tell them to go attack a base across lava with a bridge beside you, they'll go into the lava unless the bridge is directly in front.
There's no 'Call all troops to follow you' button though. which, I can't decide whether it's a positive or a negative. Singleplayer, it's tedious and annoying. Multiplayer however, it allows for both players to micromanage an army as the other player can control the army that's not following you. the recall button on a spawner seems to only recall those not following others though. so in the middle of an attack move, your guys may vanish.
In summery, the game has a few faults. which are commonplace for RTS games, and will be manageable for those who actually play RTS games. So I'd totally recommend this game to those who do play RTS games.
