Moss Review (marcus_hough)
Moss is an excellent VR game, easily one of the best that I've played. It makes really good use of the VR environment and introduces its game mechanics over its short run time to keep you constantly engaged. The game is a platform-puzzler in a VR environment. The story is simple but fun.
Production values for the game are really high. The animation is wonderful and the main character, Moss, is one of the most appealing game characters I've ever seen. It's like the developers have channelled the best of Pixar. She's cute and funny and she'll insist that you interact with her (high-fives, etc.) throughout the play time. A shout out should go to the narrator too, as she does a good job.
All in all, this is a great game and should definitely be recommended.
To address some of the criticism:
Yes, it's a short game and most players will complete it in 4-6 hours. There isn't a huge amount of replay value, in my opinion. So you decide whether it's worth the price. Or just wait for a sale.
Some people have complained about the controls, but I had no problems. Like all 3D platform-puzzlers, the perspective can be tricky when using a controller. Also, as a PC gamer, I usually use KB+M and am hopeless with a controller but I had no particular problems with Moss. So it looks like certain headsets may be worse than others. I was using a Quest 3.
