Not For Broadcast: Bits of Your Life Review (OniFire)
I've played through this DLC a few times now and each time was fairly unique when you send the guests out in different orders - there's Dave of course and Peter Clement - and I had a few giggles once I started messing with the order of things and going off-script.
But sadly, having to watch the same intro or same clip every single time I wanted to have another go got really annoying and quickly sucked the fun right out of the experience.
It doesn't help that to get some of special endings, you have to bring out the guests in the exact order the developer intended. There's no flexibility. May as well use a guide at that point but then what's the point? Or if not, sit and watch the same shit over and over and over again until you get it right or more likely, ALT-F4 before going completely crazy?
There was at least a skip button for the ads so you don't have to sit through those every single time but that's not good enough! Minutes watching paint dry feels more like hours, y'know?? Honestly, that problem exists in the whole game but at least (for me anyway) replaying the base game would only be a one time thing to see the Disrupt ending (since I went with Advance first). If you're an avid achievement hunter though then umm sucks to be you.
I guess if you can get the Season Pass on sale for a fiver like I did then it's a nice, little extra to go along with the base game but nothing overwhelmingly brilliant as other reviewers would have you believe, unless of course, to get the absolute full experience, you're willing to watch the same crap 10+ times like a vegetable.
It's definitely miles better than Live & Spooky but my enjoyment went from a 10 to 2 very quickly. Add a fast-forward or skip button like you have with ads then I'll consider changing my review to Recommended. I don't like having my time wasted.
