Outlast: Whistleblower Review (bogwod12)

Outlast: Whistleblower is the singular DLC released for the first Outlast game. It focuses on the story of Waylon Park, the one responsible for the email sent to Miles Upshur at the beginning of the main game, prompting the events of the game. It also focuses on the initial security breach that caused the Asylum to erupt into total chaos.
The plot is pretty similar in nature to the base game, with some minor changes and alternative focuses. Many characters present in the main game make appearances here. The game takes place before, during and after the events of the main game as you try to escape the Asylum and expose Murkoff to the world. There are new enemies that hunt you throughout the DLC. There are also many more documents for you to read that provide further context for the experiments of Mount Massive.
If you enjoyed the base game, you will probably enjoy this DLC just as much, or possibly even more. It's a fairly short experience, taking me a little over an hour to finish, but it is almost entirely new content and is very highly polished. It provides a new layer to the original game and explores new levels of crazy. There are still plenty of high tension moments and it is still an intense horror experience. Keep in mind however, this is an extremely violent and decrepit game with some very morbid subject matter and it won't be for everyone.
As a DLC though, it is of a very high quality and I would definitely recommend giving it a play if you liked Outlast on its own.
