Reigns: Three Kingdoms Review (True Crossbellian)
For starters I am a huge reigns fan. I have the first game on three different platforms and played shit out of it up to the point when I knew by heart all of the cards that there were in the game. But the favorite part of the game is the second one. I own it on two different platforms and i don't know all of the cards by heart, but I love that game due to the item mechanic that made that game trully fun. Done with hardcore survival? Have fun by becoming a vampire and eating half of your castle or kill the king and have a litteral bloodbath or romance a valkyrie and so on. It was fun and really interseting all that i wanted from a sequel- make this part of the game even more interactive and fun. But then something changed. First there was a wierd reigns game for apple arcade about rockband? in space?
At least the next reigns game was a game of thrones colab... It could be a really cool and fun game... And the developer completely cut the fun part in this game. Actually they cut all the fun parts of reigns series in their Go(a)T colab. As a result it was bland and soulless.
And here we are, at this point of time, when I saw this morning a new reigns game and for less than a dollar!!! Awesome I was expecting the best day of the year in a cosy corner of my room with my steam deck.
>I boot up the game
>Play for 20 minutes
>Realise that they doubled down on borring aspects of the series
>The day is ruined
>Not planning on ever playing this game.
Pleasee, Neiral, it is not Civilization or something, it is reigns. I don't want to build a dynasty or some other shit. I want to boot up this game once in a while for 20 minutes, laugh at jokes and do funny stuff.
