Revita Review (Slava_In)
This is one of the most controversial games I played.
It's been months when I deleted the game and then installed it all over again just to delete it again.
I love it and I hate it.
What I love:
- Optimization
- Art style
- Interesting life=currency game mechanics
- Music
- Variety of enemies/upgrades/weapons
- Satisfying controls and movement
What I hate:
- Poor visual indications for enemy attacks that blend too much with player attacks
- Synergies are very rare because the game is too random
- Most of the items are too random and don't have much impact and make 90% of runs fail or feel dull
- Good 60-70% items are just trash
- Some items sound good by description but can completely break the weapon pretty much ending the run
- Some items drops make no sense, like hammer dropped in Stage 5
- Some repeating dialogues take too much time to skip
- The requirements for certain game parts and achievements are too blurry and hard to figure out even using the wiki
- I did 50% of achievements and read the description of other 50% and it's just BS - most of them require crazy amount of luck effectively making it +300 hours or more just to grind them
I recommend beating the (true) last boss once and quitting to prevent being more and more disappointed as you play
