Ride 5 Review (jestifizzle)
Don't make my mistake. I told myself I wasn't going to get this game but I got it anyway, and I'm disappointed in myself. Feels like another Milestone game where the physics don't make much sense, the AI are all over the place and ram you off the road, with the slightest touch to your rear and you'll go flying off into space. Handling is basically a mix between Ride4 and motogp23. You get the standup physics on acceleration of motogp23 with the bouncy/lightweight suspension physics of Ride4 (which don't go together well imo).
I came off of Ride4 to play this, and I actually want to go back to playing Ride4. The graphics are close to Identical to Ride4, and there is very little feeling in vibration and feedback when using a dualsense controller. Under braking, with certain types of corners, you will lose the front out of nowhere because there is no feedback in the brake.
A couple of positives: The motogp23 physics model means the rear doesn't want to slide out at every turn or bump like it did in Ride4. AI seem to be a lot more competitive at 120% difficulty compared to Ride4. The improved curb physics are probably the biggest positive.
BUT, there are just too many negatives (albeit subjective negatives) to justify this game at this price. I've had very little fun in the minimal time I have played which really shouldn't be the case for a brand new Milestone game...
