RimWorld: Biotech Review (Zalfir)
There's some criticism for this DLC here and there that it does what a bunch of mods do, however, this is way more reliable than those mods. The mods that are somewhat more reliable also add things you might not want in your game and can not be obtained on Steam or Nexus.
The fact that this is official DLC also means it will be updated alongside the game, every time, so you no longer need mods that add children or mechanoid minions, and it adds them in a way that is game rule friendly (ie. difficult to deal with, costly in terms of mechanoids, prone to fun/tragic calamity).
This DLC is a must for any player that gets invested in the social workings of their colonists more than the difficulty as well, which is obvious. People who effectively play no higher than "Community Builder" have a lot to gain from it.
People who prefer the possibility of their colony being completely gutted will also find it intriguing to use because their mechanoids will be able to turn the tide in large scale battles, continue working during a plague or famine, and generally the pollution mechanic is also something to beware of as drop podding toxic waste too near your settlements or in large amounts can lead to weather which kills exposed crops and livestock even if all your colonists are immune due to genetics.
Modders will also find this interesting to work with if they're already interested in similar subjects as its contents, because it provides an official framework they can work with instead of building the framework for kids and robots themselves.
Keep up the good work RimWorld game masters, my personal RimWorld canon thanks you.
