RoboCop: Rogue City Review (N00T)

TLDR: Nothing to write home to mom about, but it feels like a throwback to the single player FPS's of the 2000's, and its nice to be able to enjoy something on release day without endless game breaking bugs. 8/10.

Robocop seems to reject most of the modern steps that the gaming industry has gone with, and its better for it. Many of the features, the story content, and how the game plays really feel remincent of the quality Single Player Campaign style FPS of what I consider to be the golden Era of gaming (2000-2010).
The game seems to be mostly bug free, which in its own right is apparently an accomplishment most AAA studios cant seem to achieve, and while not greatly optimized, It runs well enough on up-to-date hardware. Nothing spectacular by modern graphics standards but a solid looking game. It seems to do well to stick to the Robocop lore and sets the environment well to represent a gritty 80's action cop scenario.
The game isn't without its flaws however, though they're mostly minor. Nothing in the game really stands out as a quality feature. The Linear small map environments while decently built can get stale at times, especially since robocop is no sprinter. Most of the side quests are just fetch quests, and finding their triggers can take quite a bit of stomping around.
Nothing ground breaking but it is still solid, fun, narrative experience. Especially in the current gaming market where basically every AAA dev is releasing buggy mess after buggy mess, and just missing what the player base wants in their games, its nice to have something you can play and enjoy on release day. I give it an 8/10.
