RoboCop: Rogue City Review (VoodooDoc)
If you were born in the 80s and you sneaked downstairs to your living room at night to watch Robocop on TV and hoped your parents didn't catch you watching a late night action movie.

RoboCop: Rogue City
What's so great about RoboCop: Rogue City?
What is made with endless love are all the small and large details from the movies. The well-known characters look and behave exactly like they do in the movies. The first time you drive the car you have a sequence with the tires spinning, exactly like in the movie. There are a lot more moments like this, which is just great and something I miss in many other games.
The Game:
As RoboCop you are practically a tank on legs. You are heavy and take minimal damage from handguns. You decide how you enforce the law in Detroit. Your decisions will influence the eventual outcome of the story. You do this with actions as well as through dialogues. You have a simple skill tree and modifications to your AUTO-9 pistol.
The Feeling:
The controls feel good and you also have the feeling of being a juggernout. I wouldn't say it's an open world game, it's very reminiscent of games from the early 2000s like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. On the maps themselves you can sometimes interact with objects and use the environment to eliminate enemies. They are not structured as a tube level. There are the usual collectible things.
The weapons have good sounds, they are typical 80s models. Most of the time you use your AUTO-9 pistol like in the movies. The gore factor is appropriate.
The dialogue is understandable and drives the story forward. In the small side quests you have the typical pattern of going from A to B, asking or looking for this or that.
Overall:
RoboCop: Rogue City is a classic FPS game, a little quieter than other titles in the genre. But this doesn't do any harm to the game; it captures the atmosphere around RoboCop very well. If you're looking for a shooter that's full of nastrolgia, attention to detail and old school gameplay, you'll be very happy with this title.
This is just one opinion of a single person, have your own experience with RoboCop: Rogue City.
