Sociable Soccer 24 Review (Mr Deanster)

First thing is first this game is not SWOS and has a modern control scheme, not everything is on one button and I prefer these controls.
The objective in career mode is to climb the ladders playing against other peoples teams played by the CPU and once you get further in to the ladder you go in to club rivals. The problem with this is if the player base is low you can be in leagues by yourself, which is an easy way to get great rewards from win streaks.
Win Streaks
Complete 5 games and get the best reward at the end which is a player you KNOW your going to get. If you play on HARD difficulty you get better rewards but you must play the games in the difficulty you are locked in to at the start of the streak. You can cash out between games for a position card your on but its random and if you lose, you don't get anything.
So what happened with me is I got to a league where I was the only person in it and I was playing people from division 4 league (I play as Halifax so it was picking teams from the league I was originally from, not career div 4.), which is far lower rating for easy wins. After a while this isn't a problem, but the race for easy mode was a thing. Luckly it only happened to me once, since I enjoy playing other peoples teams.
For the future releases if your in a league by yourself just randomly pick one of the top ten teams to play or something, would make it fairly challenging that way.
Obtaining players in game is all to do with LOANS (you can use these powerful players for one season) or obtaining them from winning. Its quite heavily weighted towards attack players and getting a Goal Keeper or Defenders can be quite challenging.
Speaking of the keepers they have the opposite problem to most modern goal keepers in games. Usually in modern games they stop long shot and are easily defeated 1 on 1 in the box. In this game the Keeper is a potatoe when you shoot outside the box and stops everything side it. Its compounded by the fact you get a god like 80 striker and your struggling with a 50+ goal keeper. The keepers get a bit more lively at 60+ which is really nice.
As a debut of an Arcade Footie game its really good effort and very ambitious in terms of mechanics in how you play other players teams. Just has a few teething problems and ultimately enjoyed my time with the game.
If you love building squads FUT style and arcade football give this game a shot, its really fun.
