Sonic X Shadow Generations: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack Review (mario)

Sadly, this DLC does nothing to justify that 6$ Price Tag, and is just rather disappointing.
It is a good level, but it pales in comparison to all other levels in the game. It has some interesting segments, though even with those, I can name many instances in the base game where it is out done.
This level also has segments that don't fully work with the pace the game sets for itself. Far too many gameplay cutscenes that last for too long. I am okay with this game having gameplay cutscenes, but the others are much shorter, and far more interactive. If a gameplay cutscene lasts so long, and has so little interaction to it that I feel as though I can look away and check my email during gameplay, then it fails to be engaging.
Also, this level only consists of one act, which is too short for such a small DLC. The challenges sure don't make up for it either.
Really I wouldn't be writing a negative review for this if this DLC was free. It feels like the kind of DLC that should be free, considering how sparse the substance of it is, but no, 6$ price tag.
Tons of other things I could point out about this DLC that I don't like, but hey, there is stuff I do like. Level has some good things going for it, and still tries to keep to many good sonic level design principles, but the execution is off, and it just ends up feeling rather boring.
A 6$ Promo that is outdone by the game this is a DLC to, and likely to be outdone by the film this is advertising. Apologies for any redundancies in this review, but the main point I am trying to make here is that I am disappointed, and wish for Sonic Team to make levels like the top quality ones in the base game, and not serviceable money makers like this one.
