SoulCalibur VI Review (Bodiddly)

If you are not a hardcore fan but remembered you had fun when you played previous SoulCalibur games, you will enjoy this one. They have about four games modes that made it nice to change it up from time to time. I used a controller for old times sake and had fun getting all the achievements.

Gameplay/Map-Stages/Music : This is your basic 1v1 fighting game they still keep it pretty simple and fun. Your fighter has their unique fighting style with a different weapon, unless you create one (more about that later). You can go into a Soul Charge mode for a short time witch adds some extra to your attacks depending on the character. Only 12 stages which are all very well designed but dull with player interaction. Some allow you to fall off of them for a ring out. Music blends in nothing special would have been nice to have a song that makes a mark in the memory.

Characters/Customization/Modes : You have 21 base characters that get bumped up to 29 if you get some of the DLC's. The customization is very good and with lots of slots you can create a small army of different looking warriors if you wanted to. I've fought against characters online that looked like Shrek, Char and a guy who works at a 7 Eleven. Cant create your own fighting style unfortunately. You can play in Libra of Soul mode which allows you to create your own character and play through his/her own story choices effecting good/evil scale which changes your story ending. (Evil one was a better ending). Soul Chronicle mode which allows you to catch up with just about every base characters back story. Arcade mode where you fight about 8 characters. Online play where you create/join groups where you will play other fighters.

Very good pick up, I was happy that this didn't ruin the franchise. They made a fun game and really can make something even better.
