Station to Station Review (Schrodinger's Left Nut)
tl;dr: Might be for you if you want a very easy puzzle game, but don't buy this looking for a challenge unless it's discounted.
I wish there was a "maybe" option.
If you like combo-happy board games, especially pickup and deliver style games, you're going to enjoy the puzzles on offer.
But.... once you understand how to optimize your rails for the biggest combo stacks... there is little to no challenge here.
I was hoping that the demo (that has been removed since release.... that's a red flag imo) was just a taste of greater challenges to come. What I've found instead is just an endless loop of the same level of challenge that was present in the demo.
The developer said that "playtesters claimed a total completion time of 25-30 hours to get all challenges, and 8-10 hours to complete the game normally"....I have a hard time with the former. I've played for 70 minutes, following the basic principles of rails optimized for combo stacks, and grabbed every challenge in the 1st World, along with 2 levels in the 2nd. There are 32 levels total... I've completed over 1/5th of the total content, with challenges... Meaning that unless I were to hit a wall at some point I'm going to finish at about 6 hours *with* challenges.
I feel that whether the asking price is going to feel worth your "8-10" hours, will depend entirely on whether you are a *very* specific kind of gamer. I regrettably, am not, despite *wanting to be*.
If you asked my gut reaction, it would be to wait for a sale, or until they (hopefully) put the demo back up at some point. I can't recommend it at full price or until you can get a taste of what is on offer... and I can't recommend that you watch videos because there is so little content available that you risk ruining what little challenge exists for yourself entirely.
