Steel Assault Review (Spiritbuddy)
This is a game that I would highly recommend buying on a sale. You only get about 6 levels to go through, and as much as I love the background, the graphics pops like eye candy. Pixel art perfection, and the game's presentation is outstanding. Still, this game does fall a little bit flat in some other areas. Wish there could be more than one character to choose from, different weapons to choose from, health upgrades. One of the few things this game has going for it is that it looks great, and it's incredible representation of a truly retro inspired game made for fans of arcade like 2D platformers with fast-paced action. If you choose to play on the Normal difficulty, you'll be able to finish it within an hour. The bosses in this game are not so challenging, except for the final boss (that was really fun). I tried the hardest difficulty in this game, and that is unforgiving. One death, and it's all the way back to the beginning of the game. How are you suppose to get through 6 levels without even dying once. That's masochistic. Hopefully I can tackle that challenge on another day. But for now, I do recommend this game but wait for a sale drop.
