Stilt Fella Review (Pascal)
Rarely do I feel compelled to leave a review on any game. After watching WayneRadioTV play this game I felt like I had to try it out despite the fact that I usually hate these games. I've played QWOP, getting over it, and stuff like that but quickly realize if I don't stop playing my life will get sucked into a pit of frustration with no positive resolution at the other end.
This game is different. Yes, the controls are 'qwopy', but you CAN get good at them. And then each level presents a unique challenge that tests just how well you can keep your control over your basic understanding of walking while pushing those skills to the limit. Because this game is cut up into separate levels and not a 'getting over it' style thing where you can fall and lose hours of progress you can feel safe that everything you've accomplished will remain that way. So failing at one level over and over again just tells me I haven't gotten good at /that/ level. But it's always fun. I love the levels with gravity and physics as the main mechanic. The level where I'm walking in a tumbling wheel in space was challenging as hell but even more exciting to finally overcome.
I think this game was around 6 bucks when I bought it, but it's 13 atm. It's still worth that price. If you're at all interested, give this game a try. It's one of those games that is so simple and silly that I can recommend anyone play it for at least a bit.
