Wild Card Football Review (senillosa)
Very random gameplay, some good and some bad, but a lot of fun.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is very random, games seem to be decided in advance and the game looks like a management game.
Wild cards are an interesting part of the game, but the key to activate certain wild cards doesn't work.
We have the option in season mode of disabled wild cards, but this takes some of the fun out of the game.
I think it's important to point out that wild cards are not required in certain modes, as they have a very significant impact on the game.
Wild cards are therefore important gameplay modifiers, giving our players an advantage or putting our opponents at a handicap.
Some are great fun, like tar puddles or a big smash that shoots the whole opposing team.
In multiplayer, wild cards give the game a very pay-to-win feel, which is a shame. That said, you can get the wild cards you prefer by playing a lot.
The game is really fun, the characters have great faces and uniforms.
The defense dodging moves are great to see and play, especially when the level difference between two teams is very large.
Attacking:
No running games, in multiplayer or against AI, running games are impossible, games are too fast and player control too random, and player control is slow. Defenders are always on us before we really have control of the player.
Defense:
The DT play depends only on the QTE and it's a shame, in Madden games I like to play this position for big blitz. heavy on the QB's face and considering the style of the game, the devs should have proposed a lot of blitz but instead; no blitz in the games books proposed by the devs????
Defense is played in QTE and actions are often finished before the QTE.
There are no interceptions, the two keys announced in the settings don't work, the pass is defle every time.
Graphic design:
The game looks great, the graphics are brilliant and fit the mood perfectly.
The stadiums are beautiful, and the cartoon-style rendering of the characters is well done.
Playtime:
Playtime is very short, there are very few players in multi and this is not going to get any better.
Price:
The game is reasonably priced, I'd really recommend picking it up on sale, I bought it at 75% off and it's worth it.
It's hard to give this game a positive review, but it's just as hard to give it a negative one.
Value for money and for the fun it offers, this game still deserves a positive review.
