XCOM 2 Review (Neosythe)
Game was initially amazing. I remember playing through it all and enjoying myself thoroughly.
5 years later - I come back to play through again. Max difficulty + ironman this time.
I plan out my weekend to give me max hours for getting deep and involved.
Reinstall game - 2k launcher in my face for some reason?
2k launcher also asking me for my data:
"Data might be send to other countries which have different privacy laws than ours :) "
Ok. Well, click no - no data for you. Annoying.
Go to settings - enable controller.
Now, I play any game I can with controller - because my job is already to sit at a desk all day on a computer.
So, I like to stretch out my legs - loosen up my back and slouch, etc, etc.
But, APPARENTLY, a feature that was fully working before - now just...doesn't? :D I spent about an hour or two figuring out how to save "controller" as input (for some reason, pressing the X button for "save settings" on controller didn't work).
FINALLY - I managed to find a work around - and save controller as input. I start up a game all excited to get into things annnnnnnnnnd - I literally cannot move my character. Spend another hour or two trying to figure that out. Get pissed off that I've already wasted 4 hours trying to make a basic fucking feature work - that WAS working before perfectly fine. Decide to uninstall game and play something else.
Starting to wish games had no internet connectivity like back in early 2000s.
You just bought a game, that game would be free of any game breaking bugs - and then you could play it whenever.
I bought this game for full price - and now features have been removed which make me unable to play it (unless I want to literally be in physical pain from back issues).
Just...fuck.
