Yuppie Psycho Review (LoveMug)

My first play through of the game was amazing. I went through it without a guide and got a normal ending. My experience was fun and I loved all of the characters. I honestly fell madly in love with Brian. As soon as I finished the first go, I played again, doing things differently, but with the help of a guide ONLY when absolutely necessary. And after that play, I went again. And again. And again. Each play through I would knock out a few achievements. Some were harder than others, and some I got by surprise.
If you love solving things, and you love charming characters, I say get this game. I've see reviews say that it can get complicated, and while I agree that there are some tasks that aren't explained well, either in game or even in walk throughs, if I can finish the game, I guarantee anyone can figure it out.

Now, onto more technical things. As you can see before even playing, the artwork and animation is great. In some cutscenes, characters look a little wonky from some angles, like the perspective is a little off, but to me, I dont mind. Pixel art is hard.
The music is amazing, between the loading screen music, the background music in your office, and chase music, it sets the tone for wherever you are.
The creativity in both characters and world setting is nice. I love all of the witch's creations. And I love our coworkers. Their designs are great, and I wish we got to know them more, but we only really got screen time of Kate and Tony.
The horror is good, when I first played, and I didn't know what to expect, I was truly afraid for my character, and was panicked depending on when I had last saved. I wouldn't say that this is a completely 100% horror game though, because it's more comedic in places.

The story was amazing. Not only was it compelling, sad, indepth, and interesting, but had a satisfying end depending on what ending you got. At least for me it did. They didn't do the thing where it left you hanging, just so they could drive you crazy and make you beg for a sequel. The game is done by the end of it. And you feel okay with that. And because there's so many achievements, it does reward you if you do wanna play again and again. There's even secrets that aren't on the achievement list, just a secret reward for those who find it.

All in all, I do in fact recommend this game. Love it.
