Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct Review (Nova)
It's a solid expansion.
The continuation of the story of the good ending is interesting.
The new lore bits themselves are also interesting.
Both of the new weapons are great, with the machine gun feeling underwhelming initially, but becoming a powerhouse with upgrades. The staff is really fun, makes you feel like Darth Maul.
The map is also interesting, and differs greatly from the base game.
The part of the expansion that falls short, in my opinion.... are the boss fights.
Or rather, boss "fight". As the two boss fights in included, are effectively the same, with the second time around adding a few moves, and upping the aggro.
The boss itself is cool in concept, but fails to deliver.
Its what I consider the "spastic tank" tier of boss. In short, high HP, high mobility, extreme damage, it'll one shot you, and it has no real weakness (not weak-point) to play around. unlike the base game bosses.
However, I'd still recommend giving it a go, just go in with the expectation that the boss fights wont be all that fun.
