Buddy Simulator 1984 Review (Skullsnatcher)
An interesting and somewhat creepy concept. If you are not feeling good at the moment or things are not going well in your life I don't advice you play Buddy Simulator. It's not a bad experience, but not something you want to experience if you already have other things happening.
Essentially your buddy is an AI that its sole purpose in "life" is to befriend you but the problem is that this AI (probably due to lack of experience or knowledge) is quite naive, childish and "emotionally unstable" which results in a distorted view of what friendship is about and depending on how you deal the AI, it will develop different world views which will result in very different endings. It's a creepy experience for sure!
I wouldn't say that I enjoyed "Buddy Simulator" as entertainment but more like I got to experience something interesting. I recommend if you are into experiences that are unique, make you think and stay with you for a while.
My one problem with Buddy Simulator is that the "adventure game" portion of it overstays its welcome (feels like something that you have to put up with longer than you should). Maybe that was the intend of the developer and I can understand what they were trying to do, and since I don't have any better ideas I can't really criticize them too much for it.
