House Flipper 2 Review (Anarkee)

I'm usually not the person to give reviews this early, but I'm just extremely happy that HF2 came out as a full game. I've had one tiny bug where I moved a potted plant and somehow the plant part detached from the pot, meaning I had to place it inside again, but that's far from being gamebreaking or a nuisance even (if it doesn't occur on the regular which so far it doesn't seem to do). Otherwise it runs nice and smoothly and feels much more dynamic, interactive and.. lively somehow than HF1.
New features I noticed and (mostly) appreciated so far:
1) Placing items got improved by multiple things:
- we have a grid now to place items on
- the ability to put things in drawers
- the ability to put items into cupboards/shelves/etc. above your head (no more awkward climbing around nearby furniture, yay)
- when moving pieces of furniture with items inside/on top, they get moved along (I appreciate this A LOT)
2) Cleaning feels a lot more satisfying
3) Some places have unpackable boxes with the client's household items, decorations, etc. which you can pick up from there and place, feels better and more immersive than having to buy everything from the store
4) Trash gets collected into bags which you have to throw away, adding to immersion (might feel like an extra chore to some players though, the trash bags do have an impressive capacity though and trash cans aren't usually too far away)
5) I have legs :O
6) You get to interact with some clients more via phone calls which even offer different dialogue options. I'm not sure if there'll be some kind of bigger story but I'm curious to find out. Either way it adds to the game feeling more lively and personal. Job offers via e-mail also contain photos now, giving you an idea of just how much work there's gonna be.
7) You don't start the game in a random replaceable garden hut but a house that - grant you - does look like it needs some love but feels like a personal space.
8) Flipper Sense - Highlights every quest-relevant item. No more "help, what tiny piece of dirt am I missing?"
So far I feel like a lot of attention to detail went into the game. Discovering things like console games named Steampunk 1677 just make me happy and I'm excited to find out what else HF2 has to offer. Thanks for not disappointing me. :)
