Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth - Master Vacation Bundle Review (Clouddo)
Infinite Wealth is an amazing game plagued by horrible DLC practices.
Locking the only endgame content behind a 20€ paywall is greedy as hell and I really hope that it doesn't become standard going on. Also yes, the ONLY endgame content since the other dungeons of the game cap out at level 50-55 which you reach at the end of the main story while substories for the most part have weaker enemies.
The main content of this DLC, The Big Swell dungeon has the exact same structure as the other two dungeons in the game, albeit with different textures and more challenging combat, the enemies aren't new but are powered up versions of the normal enemies and you get to refight remixed versions of bosses which is cool. You also get some funny interactions between party members which are cute but ultimately don't add anything meaningful.
Honestly if this was in the base game it would be fine, something cute that you can unlock after the story ends to grind out jobs and whatnot, but this thing costs 20€ and it's not even a unique dungeon, the True Final Millennium Tower was also a DLC in the JP verssion of Yakuza 7 but at least it was the ultimate endgame dungeon, requiring you to be at level 99, and it was THE Millennium Tower, the most iconic place from the entire series, this time? Idk, some hole in the ground that opened up in a random ass place, also if you want a level 99 challenge good luck finishing Legendary difficulty, otherwise this thing caps at level 65.
Also locking NG+ too in this DLC is just the cherry on top, truly ensures that you won't even have stuff to do after beating the main game if not beating random goons on the street.
Honestly, if they find a way to enable this with a mod, do yourself a favour and mod it instead of wasting 20 bones on this.
