Nier: Automata - 3C3C1D119440927 Review (shinegami9)
You know, I get the feeling that Square Enix is still stuck somewhere between late 80s and early 90s. It can be felt while playing most of their RPGs for the past 10 years. Because they're grind-heavy as fuck! It seems SQ expects us to spend tens of hours in their games only for the sake of pure grinding/farming/leveling up - like there are no other enjoyable role playing games in the whole world.
The same goes for this DLC. I'd even ignore the fact that it lacks content - alas, most of devs/publishers nowadays believe a couple of clothing pieces is more than enough to satisfy devoted players in exchange for their money. But there's more - you have to WIN those cosmetic parts in additional fights, which require a lot of grinding. And, as mentioned in many other reviews, the primary action of this DLC takes place after the main story - when there's actually no point in spending more time within the game's poor and empty pseudo-open world.
So my point here is to remind SQ that it's NOT 80s or even 90s anymore, that there are TONS of other games which are worth my attention, and there's really NO reason to grind my way through this DLC for the sake of some mere gimmicks.
