Pummel Party Review (VinroyIsViral)
Pummel Party is a Mario Party-type party game. It is one of those games that you see Youtubers playing for a bit and then fading out of existence. That is the sad fate of a wide variety of party games if they even get the chance to have their short time in the Youtube spotlight. Despite this game actually being really good, it, unfortunately, fell to this all-too-common fate.
The overall experience of playing this game is incredibly enjoyable, thanks to its well-crafted gameplay, charming art style, and surprisingly good music. When it comes to gameplay, the game excels in all areas, from its well-designed minigames to its diverse boards and engaging items. Compared to the ever-popular Mario Party series, this game stands out as a more fun and polished experience.
One of the highlights of the game is the minigames, which are not only numerous but also expertly crafted. They are varied enough to keep things interesting, and they provide a nice balance of challenge and fun. The boards are also well thought out, offering different gameplay mechanics and obstacles that require players to use different strategies to win. The items outside of the minigames add an extra layer of depth to the gameplay, allowing players to gain advantages over their opponents or affect the game in different ways.
Moving on to the music, it is a pleasant surprise that adds to the overall experience. While it may not be something that players would listen to outside of the game, it does a fantastic job of setting the mood and creating an immersive atmosphere. It complements the gameplay well and helps to immerse players in the world of the game.
The art style is simple yet effective, and it perfectly suits the kind of game it is. The art style does not distract from the gameplay but rather enhances it by allowing players to focus on the gameplay mechanics and the objectives. It's a great stylistic choice that contributes to the overall charm and appeal of the game.
Overall, this is a good variation of a Mario Party-type party game. It does many things better than normal Mario Party but fails in having proper recognition and traction. I would recommend this game, but only if you have a group of friends to play it with. If you don't have a group of friends to play this with, then there are probably better options out there for you.
