To the Moon Review (Cloud)

Something very important before my review. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year albeit belated to all of you out there!!! I love you <3
And now for the review....
So far I've only finished To the Moon. So I will edit my review after I finish the two other episodes left to include those as well.
First of all the thing that really stands out in this game is the soundtrack. It's beautiful.
Secondly the dialogue is very well done, and the interaction between the two memory scientists is very cute, and sometimes funny as well.
Third of all, the story. Well to be honest based on the reviews, and all the Story Related Top 10 lists of all time that it's in I expected more. Don't get me wrong. The story is beautiful, but not epic. It has some unexplained story loop holes for one, and second of all it feels like the story is a bit forced trying to make it what it's not and more epic than it is. But if I were to add the patient's story to the scientists story, then overall it's just plain awesome.
And last the gameplay itself is a bit repetitive. But since it's so story intensive, and basically plays out like a Visual Novel I didn't really care about that. The repetitiveness had a bright side though, and that was early on you notice that you don't have to search everywhere for items or secrets or whatever, and that everything is pretty straightforward and led by the story and also a tool to show the story and that you won't miss anything really. So since you can't miss anything you get to enjoy the beautiful story without distractions of running around collecting items. So overall this was not a con, but a positive feature.
So to wrap things up I would have to say that I definitely recommend playing this game and I would give it a 9 out of 10. It is in fact one of those games that you don't want to miss out on. Although I may be biased since the first thing I look for in a game is a great story. Ohhhh Ohhhh, and the artwork is VERY cute and well done.
P.S. I just finished the two Minisodes as well. While there wasn't much to them, it seemed to me that they were made to setup the story for a new game. I'm looking forward to finding out whether the NEW game is one of the already released ones that I also happen to own or a BRAND NEW game that has yet to be released.
